Tilbury, Canada Building Supply Centre Full time

We are currently seeking a FULL TIME lumber yard associate to fill position. This position would be not suitable for a student. Must be available to work Monday to Friday and be available for some weekends. The lumber yard associate would report directly to the yard supervisor.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
- Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
- Assist with the daily upkeep of the yard including offloading trucks, organizing stock, cleaning, building loads for delivery, & maintaining pallets/stock
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
- Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work outside in all conditions, year round
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- 100% commitment to a safe work environment
- Ability to perform physical work with medium and heavy lifting on a regular basis
- Related experience and knowledge an asset
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Driven with the ability to take initiative

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tilbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
