Minimum Requirements:
- One year of Engineering experience- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a keen attention to detail- Experience in reliability management tools such as failure mode effect and analysis (FMEA), reliability centered maintenance (RCM), and root cause failure analysis (RCFA), oil analysis- A solid understanding of design, operation, and maintenance of mobile mining equipment, or other tailings assets- Developed problem-solving, prioritization and decision-making skills- Strong computer skills, working knowledge of ERP and reporting software (SAP, PowerBI, MS suite or similar toolsets)
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Maintenance & Reliability team on event/trend analysis- Conduct and/or support equipment failure investigation and root cause assessment- Support reliability improvement projects development, implementation and field follow up to ensure budget compliance- Lead projects; gathering information on equipment history, structural integrity and transferring into digital tools- Oversee management of change initiatives to address risks associated with required equipment changes- Improve existing asset strategies by working closely with maintenance, planners, and operations on reliability issues and failure trends- Facilitate the sustainment of Maintenance and Reliability Asset Information by rectifying deficiencies in master data, and updating drawings for CFT assets- Act as key point of contact with the Fort Hills Maintenance Engineering team, Operations, Mine Engineering, MEM, OEM, Vendors, SCM and Finance for financial reliability support
Location and other Key Details:
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Thursday- You will work out of our Fort Hills Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta- You will be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out Rotation from one of the approved hubs of Edmonton or Calgary or a Bus-In-Bus-Out of Fort McMurray- The shift schedule is 10 hr day shifts, 4 days on / 3 days off rotation
