Bricklayer Labourer

An ideal opportunity for individuals seeking experience to become mason/bricklayers in the future. Mainly operating in the cities of North York, Toronto (Uptown), Thornhill, and Markham, this role requires a car for traveling to designated job sites.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Loading and unloading delivery orders
- Reading drawings to identify material needed for the job
- Setting up workstations using the mason’s tools and need material
- Organizing and laying bricks, limestone, concrete blocks, and other masonry units
- Preparing and serving mortar mixes for masons/brick layers
- Repointing mortar and lintel joints
- Setting and securing scaffolding for access to height points
- Use of hand and power tools for cutting and trimming material to required lengths
- Handling material gently to ensure a high-quality finish
- Proactive management over maintaining a clean Jobsite

**Qualifications and Skills**
- The capability of following directions and completing given tasks from supervisors
- Ability to work well in a team setting with a positive attitude and create a working climate, with an emphasis on health and safety
- Constantly thinking ahead and planning while following and working along with crew members
- Holding composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work at heights comfortably while following safety precautions
- Able to lift 50lbs safely

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- Own transportation - Valid G license
- Clean driving record
- Owning a basic set of tools
- Steel-toed safety boots
- Hard hat
- Trowel
- Measuring Tape
- Hammer
- Exacto Knife

**Hourly Wage**:Competitive hourly rate based on previous experience and skills.

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
