Position Summary
The Kelowna General Hospital is seeking Casual Pharmacy Assistants to join their team.
As the Pharmacy Assistant you will work under the close supervision of a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, assists with various aspects of the Pharmacy Department Operations. Performs packaging and distribution of unit dose medications, as well as specified inventory control and statistical reporting activities and other related clerical functions.
Shifts are days & evenings: 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 t0 17:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 12:00 to 20:00, 15:00 to 23:00, and 13:00 to 21:00.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to type.
Ability to organize work.
