**Description**:

**Key Job Functions**:

- Build and maintain a professional relationship with site employees, leadership and corporate by fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, teamwork, and strict confidentiality.
- Provide HR advisory support and guidance to teams to assist with managing employee performance, employee relations, investigations, and conflict management.
- Understand and interpret employment legislation, including health and safety, BC Employment Standards, and Human Rights.
- Collect, record and report on metrics and key performance indicators.
- Guide employees on interpretation of company policies.
- Work with departments to establish job descriptions and manage the full cycle recruitment process.
- Assist with the day-to-day administration including benefits, data entry, record keeping and processing transactions related to the HR functions.
- Manage non-occupational leaves and return to work programs.
- Support onboarding of new employees to the organizations culture, policies, and processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all areas.
- Be a courageous safety leader by promoting and prioritizing a culture of safety within the organization.
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Required Education/Professional Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive matters with tact and discretion while upholding a strong ethical standard.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate HR concepts, policies and processes, and elementary payroll inquires. Cross-cultural awareness and an understanding and sensitivity of the differences in cultural and economic backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of BC Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Human Rights, and other related employment legislation.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently, excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate successful working relationships with a wide variety of communication styles.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage the workload in an environment of completing priorities.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite.

**Preferred**:

- Degree in Human Resources or equivalent field.
- CPHR or working towards the designation.
- Previous experience in a mining related industry is an asset, and in a remote/FIFO environment.
- Basic understanding of payroll and averaging agreements.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license or equivalent.
