Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, supervise, and work alongside a team of carpenters and labourers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements and provide accurate project estimates.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, allocating resources to optimize procedures.
- Monitor and ensure high standards of quality and safety are maintained on site.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to ensure a smooth workflow and high customer satisfaction.
- Problem-solve on-site challenges and make decisions that reflect positively on the company and the completion of the project.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and team members, promoting a culture of learning and excellence.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years experience as a carpenter, preferably some in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OHS guidelines.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
- A diploma in a carpentry or construction-related field is preferred.

**Salary**: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 5 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
