Reporting to Crossing Guard Team Lead, Crossing Guards are primarily responsible for directing the movement of persons across a highway by creating necessary gaps in vehicular traffic to provide safe passage at a designated school crossing location following established Town processes, procedures, and equipment. In addition, Crossing Guards will coach school children on safe crossing techniques, as required, and report issues that may compromise safety at the crossing location to the Crossing Guard Team Lead for follow-up.
**This permanent part-time position is located at Robert Munsch Elementary School in the community of Mount Albert; the hours of work are approximately 10 hours per week (2 hours per day - shifts are 7:30am - 8:30am and 2:30pm - 3:30pm)**
Applicants must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Reference Check prior to employment.
**Hourly rate: $22.28-$26.21 (Band 1)**
