Class 3 Driver

Port Coquitlam, Canada Herc Rentals Full time

The Class 3 Driver will transport, deliver, and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment to and from our branch to local job sites in a professional, safe and timely manner. This position is Monday to Friday from 6am - 2:30pm with an expectation of overtime on a daily basis.

**Responsibilities**
- Loading, unloading and securing the equipment.
- Local hauling of equipment and supplies.
- Perform daily commercial vehicle inspection with completion of necessary repairs to vehicle to ensure operational safety.
- Learn and demonstrate Customer Service Standards for delivery service.
- Accurately obtain require signatures on rental contracts, pick up and exchange forms.
- Demonstration of proper and safe equipment usage to customer at point of delivery.
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager or authorized personnel.
- Complete inspection reports for outgoing and returned equipment, completing log book and trip sheets meeting all Transport Canada and company record keeping requirements.
- Exceptional customer service.

**Educational Background**
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
**Conditions of Employment**
- MUST have experience hauling heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators and various aerial lift equipment.
- Valid Class 3 license with clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a tandem axel rollback recovery style truck.
- Ability to load and offload heavy equipment.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday from 6am to 2:30pm with an expectation of overtime on a daily basis.
- Team Oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
