Kinderbrook Montessori, Ajax, is looking for a Montessori Directress and/or Registered Early Childhood Educators and ECAs to join the ‘Kinderbrook’ team. These full-time positions are available for July / August 2024.
- Believe that the child will show true nature through working with the materials.
- Have the ability to follow the child
- Commit to preparing and maintaining the environment in perfect order
- Have patience and humility

**Montessori teachers must hold a valid MACTE or AMI certificate for CASA level.**

Have at least 1 year experience in a Montessori Environment
Be able to create newsletters and progress reports
Must enjoy engaging in outdoor activities with children
Must enjoy creating art related projects with the children
Be willing to engage in Professional Development opportunities

**RECE’s : Must hold Early childhood Education diploma **and must be in good standing with College of Early Childhood Educators, Public registry.
- Design a program plan that caters to the whole child development.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and hold a capacity to work as a team.
- Understands and complies with provincial, municipal regulations.
- Respond with sensitivity to the individual child’s needs and have an ongoing communication with the families.
- Read the communication book before beginning shift and be aware of any changes or updates.
- Complete all necessary paperwork like sleeps checks, attendance, play ground checks, disinfecting logs, anecdotes.
- Keep surroundings clean and safe for the children at all times.
- Ability to manage children with challenging behaviours and communicate effectively with parents.

**ECA: ECA certification will be an asset.** The ECA teacher is responsible for educating, stimulating, and caring for the children.

- Must be flexible and open to extended help where needed.
- Be supportive of the class teacher and assist her in program planning, ensuring that the needs of the children are met at all times and fostering a caring environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Confident and flexible professionalism.
- Flexibilit to work with all age groups.

**The above roles must complete and submit the following documents before their joining date**:

- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR
- Up-to-date Immunization and 2 STEP TB test
- Police Clearence Check - vulnerable sector

**Salary**:
**ECA -$18 to $22**

**RECE $20 to $26**

**Montessori Directress : $20 to $26**

Schedule:
7-8 hour shift

Teaching Experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:
English (required)
French (preferred)
