**Summary of position**:
The controller position has the responsibility for all the accounting operations of the company, including but not limited to the production of monthly internal financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, along with budgetary controls in order to mitigating risk, enhancing the company’s financial reporting and ensuring that all accounting complies with generally accepted accounting principles.

**Essential Responsibilities and duties include the following.**

**1.** Oversee all the accounting and finance operations of the entire group of companies,

**2.** Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures;
**3.** Responsible for budgeting cash flows and ensuring that accounts payables are paid in a timely fashion while ensuring cash flow projections are maintained

**4.** Responsible for the entire billing process along with the collection of accounts receivables by supervising the billing and collections staff

**5.** Oversee that in house payroll and remittances to the union and CRA are processed in an accurate and timely fashion; and be responsible for the administration of the group benefits plan

**6.** Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations and adjusting journal entries are completed in an accurate and timely fashion

**7.** Aid in the creation and presentation of useful company analysis to help upper management in their decision-making process;
**8.** Responsible for the preparation, review, and presentation of all monthly internal financial statements along with the annual corporate financial statements in a timely manner

**9.** Responsible for providing all necessary information for the year-end financial statements and tax returns and liaising and coordinating with external accountants

**10.** Other duties as required.

**Education and /or Experience**
- CPA designation preprerred
- 3 years’ experience as a controller or equivalent work experience.

**Language skills**
- Ability to write reports, internal company correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.

**Computer skills**
- MS Office Suite
- Jonas accounting software preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
