Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.

The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role

**Schedule**: 7/7 - 12 hour day

**Position Reports To**: Senior Mine Supervisor

Position Overview

The Dispatch Supervisor is the single point of contact to coordinate and optimize use of the Ore Handling Mobile Equipment Fleet; particularly the ore haul trucks and support equipment (grader, dozer, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and track haul trucks and support equipment (grader, dozer, etc.) movement and driver swaps to ensure smooth equipment movement
Aid in fleet management and information tracking by communication information over the radio
Monitor various computer interfaces while communicating with crew members and shift supervisors
Communicate issues between operators, supervisors, and maintenance
Manage flow at the loading and dumping points to prevent bunching by diverting trucks for breaks or lubing where possible
Assist with crew line ups
Anticipate equipment fleet change, such as trucks going into or coming out of the shop, and ensure supervisory/operators are aware to minimize standby time
Maintain production and utilization spreadsheet
Issue production reports
Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
College Diploma in Mining or Logistics preferred
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of dispatching experience or S2 sign off internally
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Fleet Management System experience preferred, such as Wenco, Excel, SharePoint, and Mine Distribution Control Systems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Considerable knowledge and familiarily with mining equipment processes
Demonstrated integrity and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Excellent attention to detail with a strong interest in continuous improvement
Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, adapt, and prioritize contending demands

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to standing and walking for long periods of time, including walking across uneven surfaces
Exposure to different work schedules, including night shifts and extended hours during emergency response
Exposure to inclement weather-related conditions such as cold, heat, rain, and snow
Work involves highly repetitive tasks including lifting / carrying up to 50 lbs on uneven terrain
