**Job Description**:
The Manufacturing Transaction Coordinator is responsible for supporting material flow in real-time for manufacturing operations, and accurately reporting inventory through the creation, maintenance, and improvement of inventory systems. This position will engage in the data maintenance of inventory movement, value, turn and supplier performance. They will audit, update, and manage information, and raw material part creation and maintenance within the ERP system.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diligently verify availability of inventory, delivery and release dates of raw materials, and components to suit production plan objectives.
- Ensure work order entry accuracy, maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; set processing variables; observe inventory control points and equipment; develop reporting procedures and systems; facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Work with the accounting department to facilitate processes and maintain accurate records.
- Release orders as required including issue material for picked jobs.
- Review item demands, supplies, and schedules, and adjust reorder points as required when working with direction from the Purchasing leader and team.
- Complete daily cycle counts and corresponding transactions.
- Respond quickly to unexpected requirements.
- Complete a root cause investigation for all counts with discrepancies.
- Document cycle count and root cause determination information in an Inventory Adjustment Report.
- Work with Resource Manager to identify and map storage locations for existing and new components.
- Maintain Item Master integrity by analyzing and reviewing Items’ data.
- Suggest improvements to the ELS ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
- Post inventory to jobs and work orders in real time.
- Complete additional reports related to production and inventory as directed.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workplace demonstrating proficient user of ERP systems and Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Support releasing, printing, and distributing Production Orders and drawings and allocating inventory.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed above, employees are also expected to complete other duties as required. Dependent on business needs, percent of work may change as needed. All employees are expected to have familiarized themselves with the Health & Safety and Human Resources manuals, including their responsibilities as outlined in each._
- Post-secondary education with designation or experience in Manufacturing Inventory Control, preferred.
- Training courses in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Dynamics/NAV, an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Transaction Coordination working with related manufacturing departments preferred.
- Ability to interpret information on job orders and read specifications and blueprint drawings is an asset.
- Demonstrates previous experience building exceptional relationships utilizing communication, listening and negotiation techniques.
- Experience using an ERP system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
- Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of the standard business practices, tools and terminology and services for a manufacturer of custom and standard products.
- Previously met challenging but realistic goals.

Core Competencies, Interpersonal & Intrapersonal Skills:

- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently meeting the requirements of timely deadlines.
- Demonstrates ability to learn technical aspects of ELS products.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to travel to vendor or client facilities with moderate/low overnight travel.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide drivers abstract related to company insurance for use any company vehicle.
