Az/dz Delivery Driver

**Job summary**:Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of fresh mushroom product to our customers, including both warehouse and direct store delivery.

**Duties**:

- Perform and document pre-trip inspection of vehicle; report any mechanical problems to supervisor and maintenance team
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks; ensure product is packaged and loaded correctly
- Deliver product to customer on assigned route driving company-owned trucks (reefers and/or trailers). Deliveries may be local, regional or inter-province (short and long haul).
- Pick up empty pallets from stores and return to shipping area
- Obtain proof of delivery for each drop and return to customer service/shipping office
- Maintain daily driving log and record of all deliveries and pick-ups.
- Resolve/report customer problems and complaints
- Follow all company and legislated health and safety rules; report all hazards/accidents/issues to supervisor immediately
- Must maintain neat and clean appearance; company uniform must be worn at all times

**Qualifications**:

- Current valid Ontario drivers license with AZ endorsement; minimum 3 years driving experience and clean abstract (no demerits) for insurance purposes
- Physically fit; able to lift 50-80 lbs; must pass Ministry of Transportation medical examination;
- General knowledge of working mechanics of truck; ability to recognize problems, do minor repairs
- Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act
- Good command (written and oral) of English; courteous and professional manner; customer-service oriented
- Must be available to work varying schedule, off hours, over night

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.25-$21.50 per hour
