About **Metrology/CMM Technician** Position
Hours of work: _**7:00 am to 3:00 pm**_ (overtime where required)
**Responsibilities**:
- The CMM Technician will write, modify, and troubleshoot complicated programs using PC-DMIS.
- The CMM Technician will use Datapage and Step Ahead Transformation Software to create and review technical reports using PC-DMIS CMM software.
- Complete dimensional inspections of automotive metal stampings with the use of checking fixtures, measuring instruments, and complete fixture calibrations using the CMM to report and evaluate results.
- Support toolroom, engineering, and production departments as needed using the CMM.
- CMM Technician is able to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and has a good knowledge of GD&T.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality integrated automotive manufacturing environment.
- Expert in the use of precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software and programs.
- Strong technical background including proficient computer skills in MS Office
- Demonstrated ability in blueprint interpretation, dimensional measurement, mathematical ability, and GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability and experience reading and interpreting GD&T required.
- Specialized CMM training on PC-DMIS programming or equivalent an asset.
- ASQ education an asset.
