Lab Assistant

International Custom Pak is a Canadian contract manufacturer of custom health & beauty products. We are growing our team and looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and detail-oriented self-starter who can undertake a variety of Quality Assurance and Research & Development support functions.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepare samples for internal and external lab analysis
- Perform chemical analysis of samples and release manufactured batches in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing and quality-related logs
- Prepare manufacturing records including Certificates of Analysis
- Release raw materials and components for use in manufacturing and production
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment by calibrating, cleaning, washing, and sanitizing in accordance with standard procedures
- Collect manufactured bulk and finished product retain samples
- Complete data entry tasks as required
- Perform routine in-process quality checks during finished product production
- Monitor and ensure line clearance and start-up before/after production
- Assist with preparation of lab samples for client evaluation and approval
- Assist in administrative tasks and other projects as needed
- Perform job functions in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- **Knowledge & Competencies Required**:

- Post-secondary education is required (Bachelors, certificate, or diploma)
- Must have a basic understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment
- Must be able to work independently and follow directions
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to maintain priorities to meet competing deadlines
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
