Police Services Transcription Clerk

**Police Services Transcription Clerk**:
As a Transcription Clerk, you will perform specialized administrative functions in the transcription of documents, including but not limited to various reports, interview notes, police reports and audio recordings. This position also performs a variety of clerical duties relative to their assigned area of responsibility, and other related records management duties as required.

Qualifications for this position include:

- Completion of Grade 12 and two (2) years’ related experience ideally within an RCMP environment (or an equivalent combination)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is mandatory
- Knowledge of police and emergency response language and terminology including but, not limited to the 10-Code System and applicable Call-Signs is considered an asset
- Proficient in various computerised Information/Data Systems, office equipment, word processing systems, and various transcription software programs
- Working knowledge of Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) System and Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) System is considered an asset

To be successful in this position you will be an experienced administrative professional who is detail-oriented, has knowledge of records management related to RCMP systems and legislation, and has a sense of humour with the ability to take your work seriously but not yourself
