**Job Summary**:
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Director, the buyer will be responsible for purchasing parts for the manufacture of architectural lighting.

**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:

- Monitor stock levels daily, purchase parts in back order or at their re-order point
- Negotiate prices, lead times, payment discounts
- Place orders and follow up with suppliers as well as internal and external coordination for goods and services under their responsibility
- Actively participate to reduce costs, rationalize inventory in your portfolio
- Maintain data related to items and suppliers in the ERP system
- Support the new product development team for the purchasing portion

**Experience (minimum experience required)**:

- Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Operations and Production Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience with the complete Supply Chain cycle (search, cost analysis, negotiation, sample buying and quality control)
- Written and verbal bilingualism (French and English)
- Experience in the manufacturing sector (essential)
- Experience working with different parts and materials (steel, aluminum, plastic, electrical / electronic components, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of purchasing, logistics, planning and material control functions
- Good knowledge of ERP (Dynamics AX asset)
- Negotiation and sourcing (Asset)
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to negotiate and solve problems
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Sense of priorities and solution-oriented
