**Job Profile**:
There are two openings for the above positions within the Planning Services Division of the Community Development Department available immediately.
**What you will be doing**:
- Makes presentations to Committees and Council and at neighborhood meetings on site-specific development proposals.
- Drafts Official Plan and Zoning Amendments by-laws, subdivision agreements and other legal documents for adoption and execution by Council and the City Clerk.
- Represents City as an expert witness at the Ontario Land Tribunal, if required.
- Participates in technical coordinating committees, task forces, stakeholders and special study teams as assigned.
- Provides backup to the Secretary-Treasurer for the Committee of Adjustment and attend those Committee meetings as required on a backup basis.
- Provides professional planning opinions for above duties.
**Education**:
Undergraduate Level - Four years or equivalent in Planning or Urban Design.
**Experience and Knowledge**:
- Four years related Planning experience.
- Current memberships in the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
- For a degree in Landscape Architecture, current membership with the Ontario Association of Architects and Ontario Association of Landscape Architects is required
**Hours of work**:
The current regular hours of work are in accordance with the collective agreement, however currently are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings as required.
Our organization supports a hybrid work program.
**Your compensation**:
This position is within Grade 11 of the inside workers union Salary Schedule and has an annual salary range of $84,275 to $89,569. Comprehensive Benefits Package and OMERS Pension Plan included.
