**Job Description**:
General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Proposal Support Specialist. This full-time position involves the dual role of proposal coordinator and production. As a Proposal Support Specialist, you will coordinate and manage all proposal development activities, including editing, graphics content, document version control, and document quality control.

Key indicators of success in this role are excellent attention to detail, a creative mindset, independent thinking with strong time management skills in order to work productively in an evolving work environment.

If you were in the role today, here is what you might be working on:

- Review customer Request for Proposal/Information (RFP/RFI) material to identify proposal deliverables, deadlines, response structure and format
- Provide input for the proposal response document in association with the corporate template structure, design, and layout
- Create the deliverable proposal documentation package
- Set up all documentation related to the proposal response using corporate proposal templates and previous proposal baseline
- Assign and coordinate proposal team SharePoint site activities
- Assist with the creation of the Proposal Book Plan and design a proposal outline/skeleton by working closely with the proposal team
- Format all proposal documentation according to corporate/department-approved standards and styles
- Edit technical proposal documentation, ensuring: consistency/clarity of message; contextual integrity and tone within the overall deliverable package; proper grammar; coherent flow; readability and accuracy; execute copy editing tasks
- Consult, update, and maintain the writing assignments document and follow-up outstanding inputs
- Liaise with the contributors for each proposal, both internal and external to the proposal department, including; proposal manager, proposal writer, integration solution lead, system architect, business development and capture lead, project/program manager, commercial, finance and estimating groups
Finalize proposal deliverables upon receipt of signatory approvals
- Act as the gatekeeper of all documentation prepared for the proposal
- Maintain documentation version control at each iteration of the proposal and manage the final document release and archive
- Create binders for proposal deliverables when hard copies are required
- Post proposal production document archival management

Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

- University or College degree and two to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Minimum of one year’s experience in document editing and formatting
- In-depth knowledge of MS Word, graphics management, Excel tables and Acrobat Pro., as well as PowerPoint
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
