**Production Lead Hand**

**How you will contribute**

You are involved within the Production department working on various lines. You are a working leader responsible and accountable for organizing and motivating a strong team of workers in order to produce consistent quality of work and continuously produce the required volume of work to satisfy the production schedule

As a Production Lead Hand, you will:

- Verify date-coding setup of ramekins, cartons, and cases, and metal detector.
- Ensure the Pallets have the traceability factors.
- Meet production standards on all assignments within a reasonable time.
- Supervise line staff, train and instruct new staff on proper procedures, specifications, and requirements.
- Perform any specified quality assurance checks designated for each task, function, or assignment.
- Assure that all work assigned to the position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements.
- Ensure that work safety, food safety, and personal safety requirements are met.
- All other duties as required.

**What will make you successful**
- Good communication skills - written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- 3 years of previous experience in a production environment (preferably food manufacturing).
- Ability to follow/give verbal & written instructions (in English).
- Proven ability to direct others and coordinate a department in order to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow GMP and HACCP instructions.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills.

Work schedule:Two-week rotation of days, evenings, and nights. Monday to Friday.

Physical Demands
- May be required to stand/sit for long periods of time.
- May engage in frequent bending, stooping, or squatting.
- Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
- Must be able to work in tight or enclosed spaces.
