**WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR**

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of the warehouse and union associates. Ensure the safe, smooth, timely flow of inbound/outbound products and building housekeeping.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage the daily warehouse operations in all areas receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Assign work duties, and monitor output adjusting to daily demands.Delegate daily tasks to warehouse team and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Responsible for facilities maintenance and improvement projects, including the design, approval, cost quotation, award and management of projects.
- Coordinating multiple vendors to ensure that project remain on time and under budget. Reporting with regular updates to management.
- Ensure all warehouse associates follow safety procedures.
- Deal with all safety concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are part of daily activities.
- Ensure associates know and follow company policies and procedures.
- Set daily/weekly work schedules of warehouse staff and temporary workers.
- Monitor warehouse associates daily productivity.
- Prioritize workload for warehouse associates.
- Responsible for the completion of daily activities;
- Accurate and on time Picking, Shipping and Customer Pickup
- Receiving goods within 24 hours of arrival
- Accurate and efficient production of Roll Goods
- Ensure accurate inventory management practices and procedures are followed (lost bucket, RTS, cycle counts, daily inventory adjustments, relocations)
- Sample shipments, receiving and issues are completed on time.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks. Demonstrate the ability to set, maintain and or adjust priorities as required.
- Productivity Improvement - document processes and procedures, set productivity standards for each job.
- Provide associates with feedback on performance standards and objectives (daily/ weekly).
- Encourage and solicit associate feedback and input on processes and procedures. Act on ideas and suggestions whenever possible.
- Promote open, honest communication through accurate, clear and concise information. Also share in the open door policy.
- Be visible and approachable for employees in your daily activities.
- Promote the team concept through employee job ownership and empowerment of staff.
- Promote cooperation and teamwork between shifts and associates.
- Treat associates with dignity and respect.
- Prepare and communicate written annual evaluations on all warehouse associates.
- Maintain accurate employee’s records, attendance, vacation schedule and performance issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements**
- 2-4 years of related supervisory experience
- Post Secondary education, preferably in logistics/warehousing or equivalent
- Distribution experience in flooring industry or related field
- Exposure or experience working in a Union Environment
- First Aid training would be an asset

**Knowledge, Skills and Ability Required**
- Strong organization, communication and PC skills
- Strong internal orientation and relationships
- Strong product and industry knowledge
