**Intermediate Environmental / Civil GIS and Planning Position**
**Position Overview**

Phoventus is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Intermediate level Environmental & GIS technician to join our Oakville ON team. This position will support a full range of discipline
Preference for 2 to 3 years of experience, and be goal orientated and comfortable working independently.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Participate in projects and cross-function projects with the team.
- Field work and data analysis involving soil, groundwater, waste, surface water, and wildlife management.
- Attend meetings, workshops, presentations, and project site tours.
- Attending and assisting with client and regulatory meetings

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS),

Environmental Science, Geography, Surveying or Engineering, or a related discipline with an emphasis on or major in GIS
- Minimum one (2) year of experience working with GIS.
- Experience with renewable energy preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance, assessment, and permitting legislation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Embrace change and innovative ideas.
- Must be comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to travel within Canada, the USA, and globally.

**Salary**: $52,903.59-$65,000.00 per year
