**Accountabilities**:
**Student account credits and refunding**
- Project lead for clearing student account credits, including coordination of communication, and transferring of credits in line with system and finance requirements
- Prepares mass correspondence and outreach to students regarding collections and credit accounts, including leading the use of tools such as MailChimp, Banner or the preparation for the use of other systems external to Laurier
- Processes student account refunds through electronic money transfers, bank wires, or through other means as required.
- Supports the development of documentation and internal practices for credit refunding
- Analyzes individual accounts to complete the required transfers to the National Student Loan Service Center, request adjustments to financial or connect with other campus partners for appropriate adjustments
- Develops training and process documentation for student account credit refunding practices for current and past students, and alumni.
- Ensure confidentiality of student records is maintained in accordance with privacy legislation
- Analyzes, interprets, and troubleshoots student financial accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout assessment, invoicing, refunding and adjustment process

**Student Collections and write-offs**
- Reviews students accounts through internal collection measures of overdue accounts as well as the referral of overdue accounts to external third-party agency.
- Works with Financial Resources to review and update financial policies and procedures.
- Coordination of payment installment plans for graduate students, including coordination of communication between students and campus partners, facilitation, processing to student financial accounts, complete student payment collection review.
