**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Reporting to the General Manager, GrainsConnect Canada’s Vegreville location, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintain terminal equipment. Responsibilities include housekeeping of indoor and outdoor work areas.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment and grounds according to safety, production maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments
- Participate in safety and regulatory inspections of bulk material handling equipment maintenance, facility repair and preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide accurate, timely and legible administrative documents and record keeping including: time certificates, job completion reports, pre-maintenance records, equipment and parts orders
- Full knowledge of and compliance with corporate safety policies and procedures, best practices and government legislation
- Keep the facility and grounds clean, tidy and free of fire hazards
- Ensure company equipment and material receives proper care, maintenance and usage
- Must be flexible to work overtime evenings and weekends when required

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in bulk material handling maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to trouble shoot and determine where to find pertinent information
- Experience working a preventative maintenance program
- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain organization of maintenance schedule and files in a changing environment
- Computer skills; ability to navigate and work with Microsoft products
- Commitment to obtain training within the Industrial Mechanic/Millwright trades within a specified time frame
- Physical ability to perform the functions of the job
- Ability to work overtime evenings and weekends as required
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility and leadership

**DESIRABLE**
- Understanding of grain handling equipment and their function
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership

**EDUCATION**
- Minimum, completed Grade 12
- Related mechanical training courses
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge, skill, and competence will be considered

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
