**June 26, 2023 - September 1, 2023
- *_**_Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to the full summer*_**_**Key Responsibilities**: Energy, enthusiasm and commitment when supporting camp counselors in activities to assigned camp group
- with participants ranging in ages 4-15
- Follow Ontario’s guidelines for Summer Camp Operations
- Adhere to BGC Hamilton-Halton Policies & Procedures
- Providing input with training materials and delivery to ensure camp team
- Providing consistent support to the entire staff team, and reporting to camp supervisor
- Complete appropriate administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Support with creating general camp activities as assigned in additional to supporting and mentoring junior camp
- staff
- Help ensure the safety and security of the members and assist in responding to critical incidents as outlined in
- organizations policies and procedures
- Maintains professional relationships with peers, members, volunteers, and parents.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers with respect to campers daily successes and challenges
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates
- Ability to work independently & demonstrate strong leadership skills

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 18 years of age and Certified in First Aid and CPR Level C
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role while working with children and/or in a camp setting
- Strong supervision, facilitation and program planning skills
- Good decision making and problem solving skills
- Adaptability, can work under high pressure situations
- Provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Screening along with proof of full vaccination for COVID
