**Job Description & Responsibilities**

We seek a skilled Scrum Master who will play a key role in supporting our product development and QA team to work as a high-performing, self-organizing team. The ultimate goal is to deliver top-notch features and products to our customers.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives).
- Manage one or more scrum teams on a day-to-day basis (currently one, but in some instances, may split out into smaller teams).
- Coach scrum team to deliver on commitments, increase communication, and be self-organizing.
- Removing impediments that impact the team’s ability to deliver on sprint commitments.
- Help sift through competing priorities, juggling ongoing maintenance, tech debt, support, and new product development in an organized queue(s).
- Facilitate backlog refinement, item readiness, identifying dependencies, reducing unknowns & understanding priorities with key stakeholders leading up to planning.
- Keep track of delivery pacing, working towards a consistent and sustainable pace to allow for a level of predictability on work items and releases.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including sprint reporting, product updates and release timelines.
- Help plan MVP and iterative releases on larger projects delivered over multiple sprints - communicate percentage complete, overall plan, and what remains to stakeholders.
- Cultivate a learning mindset so that processes are continuously examined, refined, and changed when necessary to support a healthy, high-performing team and a stable, high-quality product.
- Contribute to the product discovery process, which may include some R&D, competitive analysis, and end-user discovery to help unravel the highest value features and propensity to adopt.
- Willingness and capacity to learn the product in-depth to help translate the product owner’s vision into actionable items.

**Qualifications**
- Scrum Master Certification
- Experience coaching agile teams or incorporating other methodologies where it makes sense to deliver results and continuous improvement.
- A person who empowers teams to do their best work and contributes to a culture of trust, openness, respect, commitment, and accountability.
- Comfort with various methods of measuring performance at various stages of the team’s journey.
- Prior experience in any of the following is an asset:

- Business Analysis
- Quality Assurance Analyst
- Product Management
- Software Development
- DevOps
- While we have employees located in various cities across Canada, our office is in Toronto - proximity to GTA and desire to work in a hybrid environment would be preferrable.
