Kentville, Canada Scotia Recycling Limited Full time

_**Our state of the art Marterials Recycling Facility in Kentville has an immediate need for 4-8 Production Workers to work specifically on our bottle sorting line. We are open to a varietry of scheduling requests as long as you can work at least 16 hours per week and in shifts no less than 4 hours. This contract is expected to run for 4-6 months and could lead to permenant employment opportunities.**_

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Work in safe and efficient manner always
- Must be able to move products and materials by hand or with material handling equipment in an efficient and careful manner
- Must be aware of surroundings and be alert.
- Visual inspections and responsible to report any deficiencies, damage with equipment including pre-shift reports on daily basis.
- Report all incidents/accidents and illness immediately to a supervisor.
- Must wear required PPE and adhere to all safety regulations and policies/procedures.
- Must keep work area tidy and clean (no clutter), ensuring the area around their feet is clear and tools are put away.
- Takes a positive approach to work assignments and treats co-workers, customers and management with tact and respect.
- Must follow all company Policies and Regulations.
- All other duties assigned by supervisor that are safe and reasonable.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to bend, stand and walk for extended periods of time, some twisting, squatting, lifting and climbing.
- Possesses hand eye coordination.
- Ability to understand written or oral instructions.
- Ability to learn repetitive duties quickly and carry them through independently.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold weather and able to complete light to medium work (periodically lifting up to 30 lbs).

**Working Conditions**:
Work is performed in an industrial building, at times amid noise levels (under 85 dBA), moving mechanical parts, in conditions such as high humidity, odors, dust and exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Some work is outside, in all weather conditions.

**Personal Protective Equipment Required**:

- Steel-toe boots (CSA approved)

**Personal Protective Equipment Provided**:

- Gloves
- Safety glasses (CSA approved)
- Safety vest
- Hearing protection required (at 85 dBA and above)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour
