We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Project Manager for our Life Safety and Fire Protection **team. This role offers the opportunity to lead large, complex service contracts and fire protection projects, ensuring top-tier quality standards, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client satisfaction. **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Lead and Manage Projects**: Develop and manage service contracts and projects, ensuring deadlines are met through effective planning, organization, and communication.
- **Foster Collaboration**: Implement communication channels to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- **Financial Oversight**: Manage project finances, including cost tracking, invoicing, and budget adherence.
- **Resource Allocation**: Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources efficiently and optimize costs.
- **Ensure Compliance**: Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to codes and standards.
- **Team Leadership**: Provide direction and leadership to project teams, fostering professional growth.
- **Conflict Resolution**: Address conflicts and issues promptly with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- **Accurate Estimation**: Estimate project/service requests accurately and develop comprehensive project plans.
- **Quality Assurance**: Establish project frameworks, procedures, and quality assurance processes.
- **Contract Review**: Review contractual terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- **Client Relationship**: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients.
**Qualifications**:
- **Industry Expertise**: Extensive knowledge in the fire protection industry, particularly with fire suppression systems.
- **Project Management**: Proven experience in managing projects, including estimation, planning, and execution.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Strong understanding of fire suppression systems, life safety codes, and regulations.
- **Leadership Skills**: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- **Prioritization**: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure project quality.
- **Safety Commitment**: Dedication to safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
- **Additional Skills**: Experience and knowledge of fire alarm systems is a plus.
**Education and Experience**:
- **Preferred Qualifications**: Journeyperson Sprinkler Systems Installer or related field.
- **Industry Experience**: Minimum of 10 years in the fire protection industry.
- **Project Management Experience**: Minimum of 1 years in project management.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**: Familiarity with NFPA and local fire codes and standards.
**Location and Travel**:
- **Base Location**: Calgary.
- **Travel Requirements**: Minimal travel required to project sites as needed.
