Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support and care to patients in various healthcare settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Duties: - Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing - Provide assistance with mobility and transfers - Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse - Monitor and record vital signs - Assist with meal preparation and feeding - Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients - Provide companionship and emotional support to patients - Assist with documentation and maintaining patient records Requirements: - Previous experience in home care or caregiving is preferred - Ability to perform tasks such as heavy lifting, as required - Knowledge of proper patient care techniques - Familiarity with nursing home procedures and protocols - Experience in dementia care is a plus - Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team - Compassionate and empathetic nature Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Pay: $16.98-$20.87 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2024-05-15
