JOB SUMMARY

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, the Supervisor, Regulatory Compliance and Projects is responsible for ensuring that all existing and new compliance requirements are effectively communicated, managed and executed as necessary by internal stakeholders.

The Supervisor is also responsible for oversight of adhoc regulatory projects as they may arise.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain relationships with the regulator and key internal and industry stakeholders in the industry and internally.- Work closely with operational divisions to ensure regulatory filing requirements are met.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into business processes.- Review all relevant OEB decisions and prepare summaries and recommendations based on applicability to Hydro Ottawa.- Support the creation of Project Charters, Schedules, Risk and Issue Logs and report against project metrics.- Lead and manage projects, by influence without positional authority, related to regulatory initiatives including the creation of Project Charters, Schedules, Risk and Issue Logs, provide regular project updates and report against project metrics.- Work with Customer Care to ensure appropriate responses are provided to the OEB with regards to compliance-related Consumer Complaint Responses/Resolution Action Plans, and are submitted on time.- Support the creation of and administration of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and support evaluation of proposals where appropriate.Monitor key industry trends related to compliance, undertake analysis, document and report findings and make recommendations based on evidence or outcomes.- Drive compliance efficiencies and insights through effective compliance strategies, procedures, accountabilities, stakeholder support and automated assessment tools.- Oversee the priorities, deliverables, training and development of direct reports, including the setting of annual personal development and business performance goals and the provision of feedback.-
- Co-lead the Conditions of Service Working Group by ensuring appropriate Working Group representation, document updates, achieving the goals and reporting requirements of the Executive sponsors and ensuring alignment with new and developing compliance obligations and policy initiatives.- Conduct regular audits and assessments of regulatory compliance requirements to identify and address compliance risks.- Develop and prepare reports and recommendations with respect to compliance reviews.- Coordinate the annual completion of Service Level Agreements and monitor activities between the regulated company and affiliate companies to ensure compliance.- Prepare and execute compliance communications and change management plans within the Divisional and corporate context.- Participate in and influence applicable policy reviews completed by the OEB.- Support other functions within Regulatory Affairs, as needed.- Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Political Science, Economics, Law, Risk Management, or related discipline- Minimum three (3) years of related experience- Minimum five (5) years working in the energy or utility sector, or other regulated sector- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and training in a related field may substitute for academic requirements- Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite- Compliance program development and management, regulatory reporting or policy implementation experience considered an asset- Ontario Energy Board Rate Application, compliance or policy experience considered an asset- Team leadership experience in a workplace or external capacity considered an asset- Knowledge of AODocs or other file sharing software considered an asset

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification considered an asset

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

$102,324.65
