Parking Patroller

Are you a customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Parking Patroller. The Patroller is responsible for patrolling an assigned area to ensure public compliance with the existing parking ordinance while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
**Schedule**
Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

**What Would You Be Doing?**
- Patrol properties to maintain safety
- Maintain close communication with dispatch using two-way radio or cell phone
- Relay information about incidents or emergencies to appropriate personnel
- Write warnings and citations for illegally parked vehicles
- Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes
- Observe and report hazardous conditions such as missing traffic signs or street markings
- Observe and report suspicious objects or vehicles
- Monitor environmental conditions to detect possible hazards (ice, etc.)
- Use hand-held device to enter and retrieve vehicle information
- Investigate and answer complaints regarding contested parking citations
- Prepare and maintain operational records ie: activity logs and contested citations
- Collect coins from parking meters
- Maintain assigned equipment
- Perform simple vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil and report mechanical problems to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
**What Are the Working Conditions?**
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and frequent exposure to all temperature conditions
- Frequent bending, stretching, kneeling, and twisting
- Lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required
**What Are We Looking For?**
- Minimum 2-3 years customer service experience
- Valid Alberta class 5 drivers license and clean abstract
- Own vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Able to maintain a professional demeanor in all situations
- Able to work well in a team oriented environment
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and good observational skills
- Takes pride in maintaining a high standard of quality service
- Accurate data entry skills
- Valid Alberta drivers license and clean abstract
- Basic computer skills
- Able to pass a criminal record check
