**Part-time Pharmacy Technician for research clinic**

**Work Hours**: 2 days per week (8-10 hours per week)
**Salary**: $24 - $30 per hour

**Job Summary**

We are a medical clinic involved in exciting research for individuals who are living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Come join our fabulous team, in this supportive and engaging work culture where our patients say they love to visit.

**Duties**
- Complete all training specific to individual protocol as required
- Review the study protocol and pharmacy manuals for specific study requirements prior to the preparation of study drug
- Receive, prepare (aseptic technique), and retain study drugs according to study protocol, sponsor and/or applicable Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain study drug preparation and administration records
- Interact with study staff and sponsors regarding study drug shipment, discrepancies, and drug retentions
- With lead pharmacist, establish and maintain policies and procedures regarding drug preparation and distribution according to GCP and company SOPs
- Ensure timely, accurate and organized completion of assigned tasks within the Pharmacy
- Maintain restriction to Pharmacy area
- With Lead Pharmacist, maintain all pharmacy equipment and records
- Participate in clinical meetings and training sessions as required
- Liaise and communicate with clinical trial sponsor staff as necessary and attend to queries from study monitors when onsite
- Maintain Health Canada Division 5 training and Good Clinical Practice Certification (provided by clinic)
- Ordering and storage of pharmacy supplies as required
- Execute other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Graduate from accredited Pharmacy Technician Program in Ontario (RN with appropriate qualifications will be considered)
- Ontario College of Pharmacy registration required (or equivalent for RN)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Peterborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario College of Pharmacy registration or RN equivalent (required)
