About the role

Reporting to the Director, Network Operations, you will operate platforms which are required to be highly available, scalable, and standardized, while remaining flexible enough to meet unique requirements at each facility.

Responsibilities will include management of internal security systems such as Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, security information and event management tools, traffic flow monitoring, and DDoS mitigation tools. In addition, you will need to support systems including compliance, monitoring, and physical security. You will also be expected to assist with operation of other IT systems, so experience with systems and endpoint security will be beneficial.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Design and implement network security solutions
- Document systems in architecture diagrams and configuration management tools
- Continually review and enhance security and traffic monitoring platforms
- Handle vulnerability and patch management platforms
- Actively seek and suggest improvements to IT security infrastructure
- Utilize monitoring tools to manage capacity and availability
- Focus on task automation where reasonable to reduce overhead
- Procure new devices and connectivity
- Plan and document platform lifecycle management tasks
- Train frontline technical staff in security related system architectures, basic troubleshooting and diagnostic processes

Qualifications:

- CISSP or equivalent certification
- Experience with varied network and security vendor platforms including Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet
- Experience with log collection/SIEM platforms and processes
- In-depth IPv4 and IPv6 routing knowledge, including BGP and OSPF protocols
- Hands-on experience with DDoS defense solutions
- Comfort in working in ticketing-based environment is required; ITIL background and/or training with a focus on incident, problem and change management
- Bilingual (French/English), strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of network supporting services such as DNS, NTP, RADIUS, PKI required
- CEGEP Diploma or Attestation in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the field is required, service provider experience preferred

En outre, vous devrez soutenir les systèmes, notamment la conformité, la surveillance et la sécurité physique. Vous devrez également contribuer à l'exploitation d'autres systèmes informatiques, de sorte qu'une expérience des systèmes et de la sécurité des points d'accès sera bénéfique.
