Job Title: Journeyman Ironworker (NOC 72105)

Job location: Job sites throughout Lower Mainland

Transportation and travel information: It is an employee's responsibility to get to site

Key responsibilities:

- Leading ironworkers and coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and other tradespeople to complete projects on-time and within budget.
- Unloading and stacking prefabricated steel.
- Reinforcing/tying rebar in concrete construction.
- Connecting columns, beams, and girders with bolts or by welding them into place.
- Verifying vertical and horizontal alignment of steel structures.
- Using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld steel.
- Placing and setting heavy machinery.
- Erecting and/or dismantling structural steel frames of structures.
- Operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment to lift steel columns, beams, and girders according to blueprints.
- Certifying through the company in stick and mig welding.

Employment Requirements:

- At least 5 years of experience as an iron worker or related trade
- A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
- A valid fall protection certificate
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Terms of employment: Permanent full-time position
