**Trouw Nutrition is hiring**we are looking to hire a** **Swine Nutritionist** to support our team in Manitoba.

In this role, you will primarily work with swine nutritionists and Sales teams to ensure the optimum performance of productions and feeding program. Work with the available technology to optimize formulations for all plants and communicate effectively with the feed mills and Mill Managers.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE**

**Responsibilities of the Monogastric Independent & Colony Business**:

- Your expertise is essential in supporting R&D and validation site initiatives for the West Region. Conduct simulations using internal models for swine and poultry. Collect technical farm information to facilitate benchmarking. Manage and regularly update ingredients and rations for customers who mix feed on their own farms._
- Support sales team with technical knowledge, farm visits, and training for customer meetings.
- Collaborate with various departments (operations, procurement, pricing, QA/QC, sales, formulation) for regular communication and updates.
- Verify least-cost formulations bi-weekly and monthly for monogastric products.
- Maintain and customize formulas, coordinating with Mills for remixing.
- Provide support for ingredient usage, including addressing stock issues and managing new or expiring ingredients.
- Aid in developing feed programs and implementing formulation changes in line with new innovations.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- You hold a BSc in Animal Science, and an MSc in Animal Nutrition would be a bonus Eligibility for membership to the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists (MIA) or member of another recognized professional Agrology association, is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of swine and poultry nutrition, and the ability to provide valuable advice to producers, is highly valued.
- Able to work independently while being an active team player. Your strong communication skills will enable you to provide technical and sales support to producers effectively.
- You thrive under pressure, excel at managing short deadlines, and have a knack for prioritizing tasks based on importance, urgency, and risk.
- Translating technical information into easily understandable terms is one of your strengths.

**GOOD TO KNOW**
- You have a genuine enthusiasm for learning and embracing new technologies and innovations. Your meticulous attention to detail and methodical work habits set you apart.
- You are open to occasional travel within the Region and even out of province.
- You have intermediate knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Experience with formulation software such as Brill would be a valuable asset.
