15 Years ago The Power Garage started out as a small family run motorcycle dealership. We have since grown into a multi-dimensional outdoors store. We are a one stop shop for all recreational enthusiasts. Helping families create memories is our core goal. We are looking for passionate team members who are hard working and looking to join a fast paced retail environment. Customer experience and service is our number one priority.
In the position of the service technician at The Power Garage we expect premium customer service in all business dealings. Our main goal in this position is to translate the customer wants and needs into our service department processes meeting and exceeding their expectations. We strive to be the best in the industry, so every service customer refers our services to the next person looking for service, parts, or sales.
Ability to complete engine diagnostics
Ability to complete PDI's (Pre Delivery Inspections)
Ability to repair and replace engine parts
Ability to install accessories
Ability to install rebuild engines
Ability to utilize diagnostic tools from suppliers
Schooling available (Yamaha University)
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles, including but not limited to power tools, welding, and hand tools.
- Assemble and maintain automotive components and systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a technician or mechanic in a dealership or automotive repair setting.
- Proficient in using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair vehicles.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
**1) Technician - Shop Floor**
- Conduct Service, Repairs and any other customer requests to customer and dealerships products.
- Maintain a Clean and organized working environment.
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle defects and inform Service Manager of work content
- Upsell service work by providing excellent diagnosis work on all units prior to customer delivery.
- Fill out and perform Unit Trade In Evaluation Forms.
- Fill out all required documents and forms when performing service work.
- Help unload all incoming shipments for all departments.
- Enroll and actively pursue Apprenticeship schooling and programs.
- Move all outside displays in and out of compounds and service department at start and end of shift.
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction on all service or maintenance job.
- Complete all service work by cleaning and detailing customer’s units before delivery.
- Follow Dealerships 400% rule.
- Pursue in all efforts to ensure proper dealership experience for the customer.
- Assist and support overall company policies and procedures and support the dealers philosophy.
- Able to work cross-functionally with all departments.
**2) Service Department Targets**
- Understand and acknowledge weekly Service Department Goals and Targets
- Actively pursue to meet and exceed the weekly targets
- Follow up each week with previous weeks targets and actual performances. Act accordingly to these targets and performances, to ensure profitable operation of the service department.
**3) Customer service**
- Ensure high levels of Customer Service.
- Understand the customers’ needs and wants and perform your work to meet or exceed their expectations.
- Maintain a quality assessment and improvement program to assure high quality service to all customers.
- Ensure that the delivery of any vehicle is an “EVENT” that will endear the customer to the dealership.
- Demonstrate commitment to the dealership’s philosophy of quality service to all customers and acts as a role model to other dealership employees.
- Be able to handle customer complaints quickly and courteously, demonstrating empathy, a positive attitude, and our commitment to “making things right”.
