**Uptown Brie is hiring for Counter / Kitchen Helper**

**Responsibilities**
- Follow recipes and standard food procedures to prepare food products, which includes following food prep, cooking, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including but not limited to cutting boards, tables, floors and equipment.
- Operate all kitchen equipment in a safe manner to ensure proper performance of the equipment.
- Set up all kitchen equipment for the next use.
- Assemble sandwiches
- Recommend Cheese & other products to customers
- Following proper food safety practices.
- Ensuring that all food is stored in appropriate areas.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen at the end of each shift.
- Must be fluent in English and excellent communication skills (verbally and written) with a customer focused mindset and the ability to receive direction well
- Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less
- Flexible availability to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts with the ability to accommodate various shift coverage on short notice
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills & Qualifications**
**Food Handlers Certificate or equivalent (preferred)**
- Previous grocery or food industry experience is an asset
- Certified Food Handler (preferred)
- Food Safety Knowledge (preferred)

**Salary**: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M4R 1G3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
