Program Manager, Land C4isr

**Company Description**
We have an exciting new Program Manager role on the Land C4ISR ISTAR Project. This sustainment project is for the support of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) capability that is central to the ability of the Canadian Army (CA) to control, manage, and distribute intelligence gathered by soldiers and from Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensor data gathered from multiple sensor sources spanning the land, airborne, and naval domains. This support contract is a key project for GDMS-C for the Land C4ISR portfolio. Ensuring the delivery and execution, the Program Manager drives, coordinates and executes the project to the SOW, task based work, schedule and budget. Additional expectations for portfolio growth will also be a part of the role to assure long term business continuity.
- Assure a high level of customer intimacy and satisfaction with respect to all customer facing activities
- Plan, monitor and control the work on the program and overall accountability for the quality and financial performance of the project
- Ensure all support are completed on time and on budget to the customer requirements
- Management of program resources through liaison with engineering and other programs within the Land C4ISR portfolio.
- Ensure that all engineering services and program execution based activities adhere to the GDMS-C quality system
- Provide leadership & mentorship to the project team(s)
- Lead internal program reviews, reporting and providing status of activities on a timely basis
- Act as a point of escalation and resolution for program issues and roadblocks
- Engagement in and ownership of strategic initiatives to support portfolio growth and longer term business continuity
- Involvement in, and providing input on, requests for information (RFI) and request for proposals (RFP).
- All other duties as required.
**Qualifications**
- At least 10 years project management/engineering experience in support of development, deployment and testing of complex electronic systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologies as applicable to complex systems integration activities.
- Direct applicable experience on defence programs is desirable.
- Excellent team management and strong inter-personal and consensus building skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Desire and capability to interact effectively with the customer base to influence, negotiate, assure a level of intimacy and satisfaction, and grow the assigned program
- Capability to provide effective briefings to senior management both internally as well as externally with our customer.
- Some level of travel may be required with this position
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Software or related technical/engineering degree
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
