Dog Trainer

Want to make some extra money doing what you love.. training dogs?
You can do just that, without the hassle of time spent on marketing and paperwork generating your own clients.
We are looking for someone to work as a part time contractor to assist with our services in the Halton Hills Region. Having a reliable source of transportation is a must

The position will begin with the responsibility of teaching weekly classes.
Private lessons and in home training opportunities will become available as experienced is gained.

**Job Details & Expectations**:

- Must be passionate about helping dogs and their owners develop a better relationship based on clear and fair communication.
- Must have patience, empathy and understanding, for dog owners that are doing their best. Yet also have the ability to hold owners accountable in a professional manner for lazy or sloppy work.
- Ability to engage the students in your class so that they learn and enjoy their training program with you.
- Ability to understand procedures and follow the Sit Happens training programs and exercises for each class provided.
- Must take pride in their work and show up ready We expect trainers to finish classes to completion. Programs last between 1-6 weeks.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Cleaning procedures in place - All clients have to wear masks - Limit number of people allowed with their dogs in class.
