**False Creek Out of School Care Leader ECE, ECEA, Responsible Adult**

False Creek Community Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and creative leader to join our childcare team of 6 staff and 46 children.

The Leader will be responsible for providing quality care for the children aged 5-8 in our licensed before and after school program from 2-6 pm weekdays. Care is also provided during school breaks. Priority given to fun and engaged ECEs, ECEAs, or Responsible Adults.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure a healthy, safe and stimulating environment
- Plan & implement age-appropriate programming
- Provide guidance to children as a positive role model
- Maintain a professional relationship with parents and families
- Contribute to the overall operation of the program and the Centre

**Qualifications**:

- Mandatory completion of 20 hours of courses in child development, guidance, health& safety or nutrition.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a group setting
- Familiarity with inclusive practices and licensing regulations
- Must have valid First Aid / CPR
- Subject to Criminal Records Check
- Ability to work in a team and community setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

**Starting Date: September 2023**

**Wage:$23.5/hour plus Wage Enhancement for ECEs. Staff also receive paid sick days, blue cross benefits, free gym use and program discounts.**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

**Salary**: $23.50 per hour
