**Primary Function**

The Shop Foreman oversees the day-to-day operations of the workshop and its workers. They are responsible for the general management and maintenance of equipment used, ensures the accuracy and efficient completion of project requirements, and enforce safety regulations. The Shop Foreman directs shop employees training, and relays performance information of said employees to their supervisors and HR leads.

**Main Duties**
- Coordinate the daily tasks of the workshop employees according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary
- Manage the activities of the team of Welders to produce products that meet the needs of the company and its clients
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers, and labourers
- Regularly report project status to supervisors, clients, office administrators, and others
- Resolve conflicts or miscommunications among workshop employees quickly and amicably
- Ensure employees are compliant with company standards, procedures, specifications, and all relevant employment legislation
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by adhering to safety policies and legislation
- Perform other activities as required

**Employment Requirements**
- Completion of Secondary School education
- Background in Welding and/or Millwrighting
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Proficiency in operating electric, air, or manual tools
- Driver’s License with a clear driver’s abstract and access to reliable transportation
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to mentor others
- A high-degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail is required
- Proven ability to manage teams, supervise others, and provide feedback
- Strong interpersonal and communication skillscians.

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Supervisory: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
