Banquet Porter

The Hilton Suites Toronto/Markham Conference Centre & Spa is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team. Showcase your service and organization strengths as Banquet Porter, where your attention to detail and safety will help to create a success group function.

***:

- Set up all functions assigned in accordance to the details provided by the function sheets
- Check the rooms as completed and to ensure all equipment', coffee breaks, etc., are in order in accordance to the Banquet Department’s rules and standards

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lift and store tables, chairs and staging efficiently and safely.
- Set up coffee stations and breaks for guests
- Resolve guest dissatisfaction immediately
- Report any deficiencies in equipment that may effect the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

**Job Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary graduate of a hospitality program preferred
- Should have previous experience with banquets and banquet set up
- Must have customer or guest service experience
- Post secondary school in hospitality is considered an asset
- Must have physical stamina to lift 50 pound weight (tables, chairs, dance floors)
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift, do constant walking and repetitive bending
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast passed environment.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week
