Clinical Receptionist

Wasaga Family Foot & Orthotic Clinic is hiring a full-time temporary Receptionist/Clinical Assistant (with possibility of full-time extension) If you are a person who has a passion for helping others, is well organized and enjoys working with a team, this is an opportunity you want to look into Complete training will be provided.

**Duties**:

- Providing reception duties for the office, scheduling appointments, comfort with using the computers
- Producing invoices, taking payments and handling cash/point of sales
- Making and receiving phone calls from patients and professionals with enquiries and seeking appointments
- Balancing daily payments
- Taking direction from the Chiropodists to assist with general office administration
- Sterilizing instruments daily
- Routine office opening and closing tasks including cleaning and set-up

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Hard working, reliable, honest
- Reception, public service and healthcare experience is essential
- Basic accounting, collection of payments, direct billing, booking appointments, answering the telephone skills are an asset
- Some medical knowledge, preferably in healthcare setting.
- Pleasant and helpful attitude with an ability to communicate with disabled and elderly patients
- Detail oriented with excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Computer experience, ability to learn quickly and report back to Chiropodist routinely

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wasaga Beach, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- in a private health care: 1 year (preferred)
