**About us**

Le Petit Kangaroo Child Care Centre supports the growth and success of every child. We teach children at a very early stage of their life basic French communication. Our program fosters children’s exploration and plays by providing child-initiated and adult-supported experiences. We plan for and create positive learning environments and experiences in which each child’s learning and development are supported.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Guide and assist children in the development of self-help skills such as proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Program planning and implementation of “How does learning happen.”
- Organizing and leading the classroom
- Submit written observations on children and developmental assessments to support children’s learning and development.
- Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- Lead activities and delegate jobs to assistants
- Responsible for planning and implementing experiences based on children's interests.
- Design and maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate program space.
- Writing newsletters and communicating to parents
- Demonstrate knowledge of Montessori through How does learning happens and ELECT
- Ensure the program compliance with all Ministry and program standards. i.e., CCEYA
- Identify, select, and modify work in the room to meet the needs of children with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
- Uses a variety of teaching techniques including modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing.

**Salary**: $17.50-$23.00 per hour
