**Position Summary**:
This course is a combination of topics typically covered in advanced financial accounting and accounting theory. The course is designed to cover the CPA-Canada syllabus requirements and also to expose participants to a broad variety of topics selected to examine contemporary financial reporting issues. Every effort will be made to deliver the course so that participants will develop competencies in both the preparation and use of accounting information. This course emphasizes both theoretical and technical aspects. For students pursuing the MBA/CPA Option program in Toronto there will be a required 40 hour Not for Profit Practicum as part of this course.

**Qualifications - Required**: Bachelor’s Degree

**Qualifications - Areas of Specialization**: Prior work experience in public accounting or consulting or a senior financial reporting role.

**Qualifications - Professional Designation**: Canadian CPA (required)
