Yard Cleaner

**Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities / Position Overview**:
Yard cleaner's main responsibility is to clean up debris around yard and help operators when needed. The position works at the engineered yard (25284 Fraser Highway)

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Picking up dunnage & straps which are around the yard and place them in appropriate areas.
- Sweeping and picking up piles of sawdust
- Operating a bobcat in a safe manner
- Help customers and operators when needed
- Communicate with two-way radio
- Ensure garbage bins are regularly into larger bin
- Put stock away
- Others duties as assigned by management

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Be able to walk and stand on pavement for long periods of time
- Be able to lift 75lbs
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Ability to plan, organize and execute tasks and work within a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal and strong inter-personal skills and speak, read and understand the English language.
- Positive attitude and willingness to improve processes
- Flexible and openness to change

**Working Conditions**:

- Susceptible for all weather conditions as working outside (dusty, hot, cold, wet etc)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- yard: 1 year (preferred)
