**Tax Consultant - Corporate Reorganizations (Contract - 3 months)**

The Company’s properties and projects span British Columbia, Alberta, and the Western United States.

**Summary**

We are currently looking for a **Tax Consultant** to help us with corporate reorganizations. This consultant will work with the CEO, Tax Manager and VP of Finance to help simplify overall corporate structure. This role reports directly to the Tax Manager and the VP of Finance and is responsible for tax compliance and tax planning for a large group of companies, including liaising with external professionals and assisting with special projects.

**About the Job/Responsibilities**
- Ensure efficient corporate financial management
- Provide tax support and advice on various tax issues which include but not limited to restructuring, amalgamation, performing a comprehensive review of deliverables and filings
- Determine appropriate plans to prepare returns, and engage with external consultants when necessary
- Verify documentation to identify cases of misinterpretation or miscalculation of data entry
- Ensure compliance to accounting standards, tax laws, procedures and internal controls
- Provide financial, business and tax advice

**About You/Requirements**
- Significant experience with amalgamation and restructuring of corporate companies.
- Strong corporate tax knowledge and research skills
- Impeccable accuracy with numbers, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and work well under pressure
- Must be a reliable team-player
- Experience using Tax Prep is considered and Asset
- Professional Designation required (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA).
