**The Role**

We are currently recruiting 12 Flaggers/Laborers to support our inland gas project with Fortis, BC. We need two per location: Prince George, Williams Lake, Trail, Castlegar and Sparwood, BC. You must have a valid WorkSafe BC Flagging ticket to apply.

**Job Details**
- $30 - $32 per hour, time and a half after 8 hours per day
- Shift - 6 days on, 1 day off
- 10 hours per day
- $250/work day LOA + an additional $250 LOA if you stay in town on your day off
- 3 months of work at the Fortis job. Possibility of more work with OCL once this job is complete.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Flagging - protect workers and the public by monitoring traffic and warning oncoming traffic of any potential hazards.
- Communicate effectively by using established signals and radio equipment to ensure the smooth flow of traffic to minimize confusion.
- Maintain alertness at all times.
- Remove and/or cover all control signage at the end of the day or when traffic control is suspended.
- Site clean-up/housekeeping
- Spotting for trucks and other heavy equipment
- Load and unload trucks. Secure Loads.
- Dig ditches and trenches
- Put up temporary guardrails, fencing, barricades, etc.
- Maintain the tool crib
- Assist trades
- Use power tools

**Requirements**:

- Must have a valid WorkSafe BC Flagging ticket.
- CSTS 2020 Fundamentals or PCST (we can provide)
- WHMIS 2015 (we can provide)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Minimum of one year of flagging experience in a construction environment required.
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of equipment and municipal road building industry.
- Able to work extended hours and on weekends.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Great attitude towards health and safety.
- Strong work ethic.
