Daycare Nutitionist

Growing Together Learning Centre is dedicated to providing needs based, inclusive care to children of all ages and stages. We believe in caring for the "whole child" by supporting families and maintaining an inclusive atmosphere. Working as a team with co-workers and families is essential to creating collaborative partnerships that meet the individual needs of each child.

GTLC's Nutritionist/Coverage Staff is responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for 40 children aged 18 months to 6 years at the center. AM & PM Snacks, and a lunch. They are also responsible for covering some of the educators breaks and programming time. Shifts are 7:00am
- 3:30pm Monday to Friday, with a half-hour lunch. ECE certification Level 1 is needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of nutritious foods prepared according to Health Regulations and Canadas Food Guide in consultation with the Center Director and Supervisor.
Ensuring that all preparation is peanut free. Follow health and safety practice to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Must have Safe Food Handling Certification and willing to obtain current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening with a month of hiring. ECE experience, WHIMIS, and First Aid with CPR.
