Indian Restaurant Chef

**Duties**:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and modify menus to meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Oversee kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Train and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Resolve any issues or complaints regarding food quality or service
- Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes or menus
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and techniques
- Creativity and passion for food
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
Note: Bartending experience is not relevant to the role of a chef, so it has not been included in the job description.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week
**Salary**: $16.50-$20.00 per month
Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Woodstock, ON N4S 1E3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
